Ok.. found the kit.. will need some modifications to fit properly..

Gary Marks is the man to speak to, he is having this done to one of his RX-7\'s at the moment.

I think http://www.dsengineering.co.uk is doing it.

that is fantastic.. bring out the lamborghini dreams in us all....
i have been toying with the same idea for my second gen. for a bit of time now..
it is not easy getting doors like that .. however if you contact a few kit car companys they can usually help..
try. kit car mags.. as well.
there are companys in there that build kit cars .. and can easily modify your car for this..
hmmmm.
i am still thinking if i want it or not.. hmmmm

thanks fish, it is not as expensive as you would think. prob around 2 k will do the trick i am sure.
we will see in the end... but it will be fun and very crowd pleasing afterwards.. so rewards all around.

The glass fibre doors on there own are around 2-3k each!

Good luck finding someone that can do it. Just please make sure that they can complete the work, and ask to see work that they have already completed.

After seeing most of the work that has gone in to Gary\'s car, all I will say is good luck to whoever you get to do it. :)

why bother with fibreglass doors?
if you use carbon fibre for the inserts (interior) that would lighten the load and use strong shocks to ensure that the door can be lifted...
2 k is alot more than you need to pay.
honestly.

Well the VDC is a direct bolt-on affair... just use the stock door!
//www.decah.net

It retails for $1600 (£950) so its not THAT expensive...

//www.Magmastylings.co.uk are a VDC distributor... however they don\'t do a RX-7 one! :( Decah will make one if theres a demand for it... so is anyone else interested then??

Oh yeah... check out Magmastylings catalogue too... the bodykits are surprisingly cheap! I\'m considering getting the C-West replica one from them!

Does anyone know if the Cwest kit would fit without having the lights converted? cos I\'ve never seen a Cwest one with pop up lights!
