Title: Oil temp gauge wiring?
Post by: Trevrx on January 17, 2005, 11:20:56 PM
Hey all,
I have an oil temp gauge on the dash, which started playing up today. The needle started bouncing around , now it reads zero all the time.
Does anyone know where to look to find where they\'re usually wired into, I\'ve looked and cant find anything obvious.

Thanks,

it will depend on your gauge. i have seen electric ones that go from the base of the filter and then there are the ones you could fit in the sump. youll just have to look..

Thanks mate,   I have seen a plug coming from the base of the oil filter but I assumed it was for oil pressure.  If not that\'s it.
Do you know where the standard oil pressure gauge is plumbed in?
