Title: rats nest...is this right?!
Post by: scientist1968 on January 17, 2005, 09:49:49 PM
swapping the alternator on a \'94 RX7 has given me my first look under the intake manifold and...its scarey !!!

There seem to be three open(unconnected) hard pipes. The one nearset the alternator is indicated on a number of diagrams i have seen. The other two , as far as i can see are to do with the EGR system....is this right, is it missing on jap models ??? Or is it often disconnected?

someone tell me everything is ok ( but you gotta mean it !)

theres more tube than the underground on this thing.

I think the spare hard pipes are for the automatic FD\'s, they\'ve got a few extra solenoids and a bit more pipework. And like you said, the other one\'s for the EGR which (luckily) isn\'t fitted to the j-spec cars.
