Any decent garage should offer 4 wheel lazer alignment in-house. Its just a case of ringing around local garages in your phonebook/yellow pages.

£20 mentioned above sounds like track rod adjustment (usually about £25-£30 these days).  The 4 wheel lazer alignment you want done is usually about £80 - £120, differs from garage.  Just ring around and then ask about to see if the cheaper garages seem trust worthy or grease monkeys!  Really is worth getting it done if your getting excessive tyre wear - especially on the inside of the tyre.  Worth taking your suspension setup into consideration too.  Is it standard Mazda shocks and springs or have lowered/stiffened shocks or/and springs been fitted as these will more often than not adjust your camber variant.  This is where tracking may help a bit, but a camber correction kit is what is really needed.  Which begs the question...  Where do you buy camber correction kits for the RX7 in the UK?

Hope thats some help.  :wave

i got the wheels on my Escort laser aligned for £20 when i replaced the shocks and springs, I suppose if an adjustment was needed it would have cost me more but i don’t think it would have been anywhere near £80 to £120  the mechanic gave me a print out of the results to show that the wheels were within the tolerances so there was no need to change anything! I don\'t understand how it can cost upto £120 when it only took the guy about 30mins to check everything.

Thats a mighty fine price.  Where I live (in south London) hourly rates in a general garage are about £60-£80 and a full 4 wheel lazer alignment takes a good hour to be done properly, each of the 4 times I have had it done and at different garages.  I guess it depends on car to car and more likely, where abouts in the country you live?  My local garage have a set price of £120 + vat for a full 4 wheel lazer alignment which includes tracking adjustment.

cheers

make sure they do a full allignment. most places will just do the tracking and thats not what you want at all.

that lower bolt will adjust the camber along with a few other things at the same time. It will take a good bit of messing around to get it all setup properly so make sure you take it somewhere that knows what they are doing.

I still havn\'t found anywhere local to me who will do this kind of stuff. most places with laser allignment stuff only know how to sort the tracking and don\'t bother learning how to set the rest
