Title: Safety Notice
Post by: scoobster on January 16, 2005, 10:40:01 AM
Just thought i would post up a little safety notice!!! not sure if this is a common thing with FD but i have just had the car out this morning just to find i had no brakes   well anyway got the car to stop (eventually) and found that the hose to the brake servo had split clean in half

I was out in the car yesterday and all was fine so it didn\'t give any warning that the hose was about to split

So i guess it might be worth having a look at what condition your hoses are in :( :(

if it does happen to anyone else you can still brake it just requires a hell of a lot more pressure than usual

Well i pushed on them as hard as i could, like you would when you find out your heading upto a junction and you hit the brakes and nothing happens

TBH even with all the preasure i could apply the brakes still did next to nothing to slow the car down, the handbrake did help a little :D

Just want people to be careful as you never know whats going to happen
