Hmmph.

Sureterm don\'t like 9 year old cars or 29 year old people.

Good prices but it really is frustrating when you just fall outside their criteria

mmmm....i just phoned sureterm and had a quote for 1150 with a 500 excess. And the guy told me he didnt do classic ins for this type of car.

This was for a 25 yr old ( myself )
garaged
cat 1 arlarm and immob
told him i would be doing 5000 miles a year
and 5 yrs no claims.

The search continues.

£287.98!! I assume it\'s a UK car, Jap imports are seriously  loaded and I doubt you\'d get  a quote that low anywhere.
Title: it is Jap import

Hi Adriansturgess it is a jap import mate, please dont doubt it they gave the best quote by far, no one came near them, give tham a call very good service, I have taken out cover for two years almost now.

Hi Scud I am also surprised they have said they dont do clasic insurance on this car as thats what my policy clearly states, when I rang to get the policy they clearly knew what they were talking about.

Eddie,

I\'m speechless, really. That is an amazing quote. I\'ll definitely try them next time ( I\'m currently paying about twice that amount). I must say I have never understood why an import should be loaded anyway (Assuming the rubbish Jap market tyres have been replaced of course).

Hi Eddie,

Do you know the name of the person you spoke to there as they weren\'t interested a few weeks ago when I called!

Mark.

hi guys

Just got back form hol, I ddo not remember the guy I spoke to it was just the genral number, this is my second year with them, they quoted me a little more when renewing but when I rang them and chatted about the policy they managed to beat the original quote.

I will dig out my paper work and see if I have any contact details.

Under 300 for arex I was well happy, my 40 year old siuster pays a lot more on her rover metro:)

Eddie,

You have a sister driving a Rover Metro? the poor girl obviously needs a bit of guidance on matters automotive. Mind you come to think of it, my sister drives an old Ford Escort estate so perhaps I\'d better just keep quiet.

I paid 356 fully comp with Sureterm for my 1990 TII Cab, Group 87.

This includes TWO named drivers, my ex and my brother.
The car is driveway, not garaged, and up to 6000 miles.

Me 33 with 10+ years no claims, not that more than about 4 matter.

This was WITHOUT using a no claims bonus.

Cat 1 required.

Excesses were very low ( 125 or something  ) and they chuck in some european cover i think.

But your car is not insured if you leave the keys in it.

Phil

yes i know the TII is slower, but it was still a fraction of anything else

I was once told that the best use for a Metro was to stop ships from drifting.
