Title: Turbo Refurbishment / Overhaul / Rebuild...
Post by: Nibble on January 13, 2005, 05:20:33 PM
Hi All, Could you all please list where you would recommend, or know of, places that refurbish/overhaul/rebuild turbochargers and how you would rate their product/service if you have used them. Also could you state, if you have used them, what you had done and approximately how much it cost.
I\'m trying to find out all the places that do it, UK wide so i can get various quotes and decide where to go.

Thanks

Hey Nibble, I am pretty sure that this question had been asked before so if you do a search of the forum it might give you a few good answers. I would probably only use Turbo Technics as I have only ever heard good about them and they have been around for years.
I know that there are others on this forum that also recomend them, but I will let them speak for themselves.
  Cheers, and good luck.

I.T.S Turbos up north. I\'ve got a turbo here on which the intake impeller had been smashed to pieces by a lump of metal, and the shaft bent. They arranged for the turbo to be collected from my home address on Tuesday afternoon, they got in a complete new set of internals, rebuilt it all, balanced it and had it delivered back to me by Thursday morning. The turbo arrived looking brand spanking new, with a new wastegate actuator fitted, housings all blasted and repainted - total cost £528. Mitsubishi cost of new turbo - £1500.
Highly recommended - I\'ll try and remember to dig out their contact details and post here, but if I forget PM me.
Pete
