Hi Mark

You can get hold of a little black box type of thing from various companies, if you do a quick search for rx7 converter on the gorup I am sure you will find some, alternativly  try ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52640&item=4517352916&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
Easy to fit but it does involve removing the clocks full instructions come with the kit.

have fun and take it easy at this time of year:) they do bite in this weather

Cheers

I\'m gonna give these guys a go:

http://www.autoprotec.co.uk

They can de-limit and convert your speedo to Mph and they can also recalibrate your km reading into miles (something those DIY ebay jobbies can\'t do). The speedo will continue to read in miles then. The dude quoted me £100 plus postage.

Millspeed, the Autoprotec chip is the same as what you can get from Import Solutions for £45. It will make the odometer read up in miles but it will not convert the existing 80000km or whatever to read 50000 miles. Also, even the £45 one will delimit the car as the limiter relies on the speedo pulse from the instrument panel and this is what the converter chip alters.

I\'ve seen an ad in Jap Performance Car with a firm that sells speedo chips for £99 which is a rip off.

The only way the current odometer reading can be altered is by hooking a computer and some sofware up to the instrument panel to reclaibrate it. Is this what they do for the £100 if you send the instrument panel to them?

Autoprotec do it without chips in this case, you send your clocks and they return them within 48 hrs I believe.

Yeah, that\'s how it works. You send them the complete clock, they monkey around with it and you get a de-limited mph speedo with the km reading converted to miles.
