Title: drivers door inside locking cable
Post by: eyedee on January 11, 2005, 03:35:37 PM
Could anyone tell me what part number to approach Mazda with to get a replacement cable for the locking mechanism on the inside of the drivers door?  I had a Clifford alarm fitted with remote central locking.  The fitter had to put a secondary motor in the drivers door which is activated by the cliffird remote dongle, which in turn pulls the cable attached to the inner door lock, and that locks the central locking.  Unfortunately, the cable in the drivers side door has snapped and Mazda say I need to give them a product number to obtain a replacement.  Could anybody help please?

Many thanks.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I don\'t know the part no. but sourced one from Jimmy\'s. I\'m sure many of the RX-7 specialists would have one around.
