Anyone know who makes some speakers that will fit straight into the standard turbo 2. I want to replace the 4 clarions as they\'re starting to sound there age.

Are your fronts in the doors or in the dash? I\'ve got some nice two way sonys in the rear of mine, but at the end of the day go with waht fits and wont rattle.
(I know that the dash mounted fronts were origionally flat type speakers about .5" in thickness, you can put an ordinary speaker in by the drivers knee, but the plate needs modifying on the passenger side)
My front one\'s are in the door, I thought one of the big company would have made some component speaker that screwed straight in.

Have you actually checked what type your speakers are in terms of size etc?
I have a Convertable that came with the two extra ones in the middle of the doors.
I have fitted a 6.5" set of components in the ft of the doors and got rid of the two in the center and fitted a Sub under the wheel well cover.
It sounds very good as its a small cabin space even though i was thinking of putting two in the back for rear fill.
The Ft door speakers in a T2 are 6" so if you want any bigger than 5.25" you will need to do a bit of cutting. But take it from me the 6" are worth the extra hassle.
