Title: Interior Panels
Post by: rotis23 on January 11, 2005, 12:05:19 PM
Hi All,

Where can I get stainless steel [or original black for that matter] replacement center consul and heater dial surround panels?

Thanks, Chris

I think they are original ones sprayed silver mate.  Replacements you can get from a scrap yard or tim at RX motors or jimmys.  Then you can get them sprayed any colour your like.  But if your feeling flush then you could always go for the carbon look mazdaspped dash panles......they are nice but are expensive.

Cheers

Adam

they didn\'t have any when i rang them last month so ive almost finished respraying mine, it is a long snading process as they are coated in a rubbery paint that reacts badly with most sprays.

worth it in the end especially when people are selling the centre console parts for £70 to £100 on here

Just looked through your "winter project" shots - thats a hefty exhaust tailpipe you\'ve got there!!

I thought that, I opened the box and my first reaction was "mmmmm"

But its a Greddy PE exhaust and I paid £100 for it so I can\'t grumble too  much :)

lol, thank christ I live in the country - the tree huggers might be upset :)

I seriously hope its not too loud though, I ruddy hate exhausts that hurt on long journeys :(

Nah, it won\'t be too loud, \'cos you\'ll find a badger has taken up living in it while you weren\'t looking!:p

ds2000, how many mm have you lowered it?

:rollin  @ Andrew, more than likely :)

Rotis, I\'m not 100% sure as of yet, the front has dropped to a 1 finger gap exactly and the rear is now 2/3 finger ish - I\'d expect the rear to drop a tiny bit more once its all settled and bedded in.

I\'d guess its 40mm dead on, again I got the springs for £80 from the US which I thought was very reasonable for a set of sprint springs :)
