hello.
Myself and a friend are converting the turbos over to parallel operation next weekend, as i\'m fed up with the turbos not working properly and at least this way theres less to go wrong. Also, that post with the guy getting into the 10\'s with parallel turbos has helped slightly :D. The blanking plates should arrive this week, as should the boost controller and i\'m trying to get a downpipe that we can change whilst its off. I\'ve also got a set of pulleys coming so that we can bin the standard airpump as I have a decat pipe.
We have the guide off Scuderia Ciriani to use, as well as a guide from the guys at RX7.com.
Any more advice from you guys, or someone who\'s done it before?
Thanks :)
just out of curiosity, where did you get the conversion plates? From my experience non-sequential is more "fun" but not an enormous power gain to be had. Your right though; less things to go wrong. Go and get a power run done before and after, and post the results! Only a few bob down at jeffs.
I\'ve got the plates from //www.RX7.com, for around £45 delivered from the US.
I\'m not actually looking for a power gain as such. Its more the fact that at the moment theres something up with the turbos, as the second turbo isn\'t boosting at all. We\'re taking it out and then converting them over whilst they\'re out. :)
Sounds like a cunning plan, maybe you should buy these aswell:bandit ;)

Good luck with taking all that rubbish off with the engine still in the car, that downpipe is a git to remove. Seeing as all the guides you have are for LHD vehicles, I\'d suggest that you may need to undo the steering column spline joint in order to get it off. I think the main thing to note whilst doing this is spline location, this is so that you will align it all back together without messing your steering up.
Paul:)
I did it to mine, advise high flow turbos if you can get them, very happy with the result.
Main thing is to take your time and remember when connecting back up that due to this being an american site you need to swap passenger side for drivers side!
If you need any help give me a shout
Cheers
Donato
Yes, the steering shaft needs to come out, but you dont need to worry too much about lining up the splines on re-assembly. It will only make the steering wheel uncentred, and thats easy to adjust.
It wont affect your steering geometry at all.
I am sure a certain Mr Donato will confirm a non sequential set up is VERY similar to a small [ish] single :D :D :wave

Hi John,
Certainly is! Can\'t wait for the better weather to give it some further \'research and development\'!!
The only problem is once you have done this you just want a slightly bigger single turbo, i know i do!! :D :D
I\'m lucky you lot reminded me about the steering column, completely forgot about that. We\'re starting on sunday, and plan on finishing it within a few days.
Donato - expect a PM, lol. :)
