Title: Convert 2 seater to 4 seater....
Post by: M@r]{ on January 03, 2005, 09:54:17 AM
Im looking at buying a 3rd gen RX7.  I have found a really nice one but one thing is niggling me.  It only has 2 seats.  Ive seen them with 4 and think I would prefer this.  One for the added flexibility and also im worried about the resale value - is a 4 seater more desirable?

My question is this, is it possible to convert a 2 seater to 4 seater?  If so would the required parts be easy to source and how much.

Thanks in advance guys

they aren\'t 4 seaters m8 .. very definitely 2+2 ... with that rear seat holding maybe 1 adult in comfort (sat across the seats) .. or a couple of kids.

the cars without back seats tend to be more desirable imho

although the non seats (bins) are well sort after so if you have one you should be able to swap someone for their seats easy enough & maybe even with some cash your way......

I wouldn\'t expect to be able to get anyone in the back comfortably, your probably better sticking to the bins.  I have squeezed two adults in the back before, wouldn\'t recommend it.  I struggled to change gear as i had legs everywhere plus my head was touching the ceiling.  However i have some black leather rear seats i\'d be happy to swap! :D
