Either of the two places you mentioned are good for the wbo2 sensor. As for the EGT you really need those as close to the actual exhaust port as possible.

What make wb are you using? Although I dont think it will make a lot of difference. It should be ok there.

For a truer reading from an EGT you need it as close to the port as possible. I.E. in the headers. But some do run it in the downpipe as close to the turbo as possible, some even run it in the exhaust housing itself. These suffer from miss readings IMHO and as such cannot and should not be trusted.

its a techedge 2B0 ,
iv jus rememberd, some 1 on here had egt in each header,
and i think u posted a link 2 rx7club.com about egts in the headers
will the greddy egt probe take the heat in one of the headers?
i dont fancy changin it if its gona break in the header,is a special probe used in the header,

so if thay brake often when there in the headers or up close to the turbo on the dp,y r we puttin them there? r there special probes that can take the heat,
if i put it as far down the exhaust as poss, aint that jus defeatin the point of havin an egt gauge,
at the mo the egt is in the middle of the dp, if any 1 has an egt probe in there down pipe, where in the down pipe is it n how long has the probe lasted,
iv gota weld a bung 4 the wbo2 sensor so if the egt sensor has 2 b moved il doit the same time,

If you are close to the turbo with the sensor, then simply bung in a heatsink. Innovate make them and I have a couple somewhere. This prevents and overheat of the sensor.

the techedge does not report an overheat condition so you wouldn\'t know if this was the case, unless your EGT was next to the LSU. By 12 inches from the turbo you should be safe.

You should have talked to me before ordering. I get % off the techedge and innovate stuff so could have saved you a few bob, especially as I have been putting in quite a few orders recently so would have shared postage.

IMHO EGT is pretty useless unless you are measuring pre and post turbo.

Fish

I get a 15% discount from techedge which I pass on to people. How the fsck is that trading you dimwit.

And a free recalibration I just did on a techedge for a forum member who had bought direct. Is that trading?

Once again Dan you have made me wish I hadn\'t wasted my time on this forum. You are ************************.

I\'m unsubscribing now to save you bother of your petty little threats.

No one said Bills service was any thing, good or bad. The point is that you are required to pay to advertise your services on here. Like you do Ross. Bill chooses to keep mentioning his wb stuff in spite of having been asked not to by Danny et al. And honestly, calling people names?

Fair point, just giving some feedback on his service.

As a vendor I can supply all of the Techedge parts you need, and the Innovate stuff too.It is all at the same price as Bill.

Regarding Bill,I think that being a vendor, and selling parts for a lower rate to help people out are two entirely different things.
Bill does this for just about nill profit whatsoever.
So I think he is justified in having a go.The facts need to be addressed, not a personal view.
As to saying he has 2 warnings, that is a bit of a strong way of doing things,we are not school kids.
There have been Many,Many different businesses that have been pushed by individuals on here and NEVER has someone tried to humiliate them in that way publically on here. I have noticed that often some business\'s have been pushed on a regular basis that are/were not paid up vendors.
Come on moderators, you are supposed to be moderate, not extreme.
As to who is Bill Shurvinton,he is from my experience an extremely knowledgeable fellow who has a great deal to offer this club and it\'s members.
I hope that he receives a formal apology on here and we retain his expertise.
Bill does call a spade a spade, but if something is put up on here that is wrong then take it as good advice if it is criticised in any way, that is how you learn. Also it is better to be put right than for many to think what they are reading is correct and make a mistake on some piece of expensive kit through misinformation.

Regards
Carl;)

Carl, trading is trading and anyone that is seen as, or reported for trading without being a vendor will be treated the same. They will be checked on and action will be taken if needed. Sorry if this seems harsh, but they are the terms and conditions of the forums.

Bill was warned before about trading, and he started on Glenn (gbutcher) who as those who have met him will understand to be a sensible and easy going person.

Yes my words were strong, but they were not personnal as Bill\'s were. And as such the apology needs to come from him.

Anyone wishing to continue this issue, please mail the Clive (Clive@MazdaRotaryClub.com), Glenn (Glenn@MazdaRotaryClub.com), any of the moderators or myself (Dan@MazdaRotaryClub.com) and we will be happy to discuss it further.
