Thanks fo the link Gman but its not technical enough for me. Im really looking to find out why people go down this route and why the twin turbo set up isnt enought eg it can hold the boost etc. I dont understand why the single big turbo is so sueful for big power is it because the area is to cramped for the twins what please help?

Eh?

The stock turbos produce a lot of heat and not much else much over 16psi and often die fairly soon afterward. If you want 320whp+ you need a turbo than can shovel in a lot more air than the stockers can pump.

my understanding as a simple way of putting it from a simpleton is that the twins are basically 2 quite small turbos so running say for agruements sake 1 bar thru both both with be way less power than 1 bar thru some big MAHOOOSIVE single

If this is the case that the turbos spool up to early and therefore have reached full boost erarly in the rev range surley if you change the degree of the impellers you gen get it to spool up later and with more boost as a result what are stock engines boost?

surely if you increased the size of say the second turbo (I understand the physical lack of space issue) to something say GT25 or poss GT30 sized (if it would fit) but kept the sequential setup so you have the quick spoolup time you could get the best of both worlds? Or if you fancy doing some serious enginebay re-organising two GT42Rs in a turbo pack :D ok yo\'d probably have to lose the passenger seat but.....

By the time u re-engineer the stock turbo pack you\'ll have spent more than a single turbo kit would cost - and to the same end? waste of time.
