Title: Help...... she won\'t start.
Post by: Amdathlonuk on December 20, 2004, 08:56:03 PM
Hi Guys,

Wonder if you can help.
I have a 2nd Gen RX turbo on a \'G\' plate.
Just had an engine rebuild 3000 miles ago.
I drove it everyday without fault it was perfect. Since I haven\'t used it in about 4 weeks she won\'t start now.
She has a proximity immobiliser, and a charged battery but it WAS flat.

She turns over fine and JUST ABOUT fires but doesn\'t grab if you get my drift.

I haven\'t changed the spark plugs as yet, any ideas?

JJ

Did you start it for a short while (less than a couple of mins) then stop it again before you left it?  If you did i expect its flooded, use the de-flooding guide to fix it.

I presume it has not got a imobiliser that has malfuctioned and activated due to a flat battery?

Try and bump it this tended to work for me but I need to be going quite fast (20mph) before it kicked in.

PS You can\'t advertise in your sig

Thanks, any possibility of finding the de-flooding guide?
I DIDN\'T put my foot any where near the throttle....

I\'ll see if I can get it to 20mph on the drive, that\'ll be interesting................... :)

It\'s definately not the immobiliser as it won\'t even put the lights on the dash when it is activated. Let alone try and start.
