Thank you. I would hate to think how much money it has cost. At last count it was around the 4,000,000yen mark.
Out of interest arnt those titanium seals going to wear your housings out V quick? (Devils finger nails)
First time I\'ve heard of anyone using titanium seals so I could be dead wrong....
Not to sure yet only had them in a while. I had them custom made by a guy in my local metal shop. Cost me 300,000 yen but a local racer had them in his rotory, but he had the nitrate coated to reduce the friction. They seem to work very well as the nitrate coating is soft and wears slowly. I have only had them for around 2000km and they seem fine.
I\'ll be interested to hear how you get on with them, if they are gonna cause grief they\'ll do it sooner rather than later I\'d imagine....
...still all said and done, its a nice car!:D
They seem fine. The coating is a mix of alloys that the local metal worker mixed. Its works like the black metal coating on the f1 engines bearing. It reduces alot of the friction so it wears alot less. Theres a few guy here that have been running them for about a year and a half and they seem to be fine.
