Firstly welcome to the MRC :D

There is no correct answer to your question as it all tends to differ depending on what has been done to the car and how it has been treated and even then they can still go POP for "no real reason".

At a guess if the car has just come in from Japan at 68,000miles, then I\'d say chances are that it will of had a rebuild already done (lucky you;) ). However if it has been in the uk for a while then it may not of been done yet.  A compression test will give you a good indication of if it has been rebuilt with new apex seals etc, although even with a good comp ratio the water seals have still been known to let go even on stdish cars:(

Eitherway I\'d simply maintain it best you can (oil change, filter change inc fuel filter etc asap) and as long as it starts fine hot and cold then keep driving it and enjoying it whilst saving the pennies for the "refresh" and if that day never happens then great:D

Hope you enjoy your new purchase,

Paul:)
