Title: Suspension Upgrades
Post by: Rich Cheung on December 13, 2004, 10:09:06 AM
I recently purchased my car with ridicuously low springs fitted. I haven\'t managed to pull into a petrol forecourt yet without grinding the front bumper which already need repairing. But before doing that I\'d rather sort the ride height for something a little more usuable.

I still have the original springs but is this gonna make it feel like I\'m in a 4x4 ?
Any other suggestions and rough prices so I can budget for it ?

Cheers guys.
Rich

I run with standard springs, I don\'t think it looks too high.
The roads I drive don\'t permit me being any lower :(

The tein s-tech lowering springs are good and don\'t lower your car too much. They are bout £150 for a set, think shyauto sell em:D My cars fitted with them and I haven\'t had a problem with speed bumps yet, however I do have a std front bumper. There is a pic of my car on the trubo II conv. thread 3rd post down if you want to get an idea of ride height. Hold on i\'ll just link it to this thread ;)

Cheers guys. Yeah the standard springs look ok actually.

I just remember days of the FTO. You could fit a couple of illegal immigrants in the arches with standard springs.
