Title: End the Frustration...Pls!!!!!
Post by: oRi on December 12, 2004, 11:07:51 PM
This is a very generalish question... For some time now i have been getting interference on the passenger door speaker and now know for a fact that it is not the speaker nor the stereo. It started around the time i had my turbo timer fitted but having removed that and tried the interference is still there.

Is there anything in the passenger door excluding the electic windows? As there is still frequency noise there even with the speaker disconnected. The speaker is magnifying the sound from elsewhere.

To make matters worse i have tried pulling fuses and listening and the sound seems to disappear when the bottom right fuse in the drivers footwell is removed which makes no sense as that seems to be either the cigarette lighter or the airbag which makes no sense at all.

Anyone else had anything similar???

I am runnin short on ideas unless its related to the bose system?

Regards

oRi

Possibly could be a problem with the cigarette lighter wiring ....

...if the turbo timer has been fitted it means someone was messing around with the cigarette lighter wiring as to get to the ignition you need to unhook the cigarette lighter. Could maybe be a dodgy earth on it or something like that.

Definately suspect that it happened after the tt was fitted and the fuse is the cigar lighter one tho.
