Hi all, my rx7 should be arriving from japan in Jan and i need some advice on where to put the rear fog light, is there anywhere to hide it? on my supra i wired it into the rear light clusters & used the inner two brake lights (had 2 brake lights in each cluster) can this be done on the rx7?
Secondly does anyone know where i can get a good speedo conversion chip that doesnt mess up the ecu?
Im thinking about changing the headlights to the "non pop up" type, ive seen these from nemesis performance, has anyone fitted them, any pics on the car?
I spliced into the rear lighting loom and wired up the center brake light unit as the fog light. All you need to do is put a switch in the circuit and mount it up front somewhere.
I love the sleak headlight kits, keep trying to look for one thats priced well :)
As for the fog, you could loose a reverse light?
My foglight is wired up to be one of the brake lights on the drivers side.
I have seen a couple of others like that also.

So are there two brake lights in each cluster then?

Those ones are £395 which is cheap compared to some of the others (c west & amemiya) but ive not seen a pic of them on a car so who knows if they look good or not?
There was a silver rx7 featured in Japanese Performance magazine last month and it had those lights on it.
Also i think gary goodings purple 7 has them on aswell.
Dan!!
Speedo chip - fro Import Solutions. The one you want has 5 wires (+ve, -ve, kmh signal in, kmh signal out, ECU out).
What year is it? If under 10 years then you need a proper brick foglight for SVA.

No its a 94, i hate all that SVA boll*x, its such a waste of time especially if you\'ve got a mod\'d car, you\'ve got to put it back to standard spec!
I can recommend a company who can convert your speedo to mph and change the kms light on the display to show just mile
With this conversion there is no need to purchase a speedo converter chip / de-limiter the conversion is full U.K. spec
this comapany is based in cheshire u.k.
but offers the service via post
his email is
info@autoprotec.co.uk
hope putting this helps people
thanks paul
