Well it isn\'t all bad, this could be the new project car
A mate has just won it, we haven\'t collected yet, does anyone know anything about it as there are so few mk1s in the country
ooh nice ... it went for a nice price too if its as good as it looks in the photos.
Man I just love new projects. All the excitement and eagerness. What are your plans? C\'mon tell us all.
I used to have a gen 1 gearbox in my rx4 sedan and I snapped the input shaft on the box 3 times in as many weeks. So goes with out saying they are a bit weak. Nice looking cars though. And they have SOOOOO much potential.
not sure what we intend to do yet, depends on its condition. If that mileage is even 1/2 true then we may not do too much except tidy it up so it is a VERY clean and original example of a Mk1. Would be nice to make it a 12a turbo but we\'ll have to see how it goes when we collect the beast next weekend!
I\'m really looking forward to having a go in her, the first car I ever drove (well steered) was my dad\'s 1979 mk1 in brown (????) so I\'ve been keeping an eye out for a mk1 for ages.
if that is genuine milage - then its a superb price
i would keep her standard and get her to concourse condition
Ha ha, I was bidding on that car. Good job I couldn\'t get to a computer before the auction ended otherwise you\'d have had a bidding war on your hands!! :D Seiously tho, looked like a really nice example and judging by the condition of the seats etc. I wouldn\'t be surprised if that mileage was genuine.
