Not sure I could post this up and admit it :p

Oh no!!
Well at least you got it sorted before trying to run full boost! That wouldn\'t of been funny...

Glad to hear all well now tho! I kinda know what you mean tho as theres an Ultimate Diesel aswell!! Lucky it has a blue background which made me look twice... (doh! what am I admitting to here)!:rollin

well your not alone, last year another member (large) did this, luckily enough he had only just started it so mixed it with petrol, and after a couple of days of choking everyone in his fumes, it was ok.

What about running 4 star in your FD? As it has a lead replacement anyway now??

:o

I wasnt going to admit to this, however now that you have i will :D one my wy to getting the car mapped i did the same thing, i couldnt find a shell garage on the way down so i thought i would use ultimate and fill it with optimax at the shell before WGT, you can imagine my embaressment phoning pip to tell him i was going to be late as i had £30 quids of fecking ultimate diesel in it! Give pip his due, i was 4 hours late as i had to get the AA to take me to a garage and get it drained and he still mapped it.

I did however have to endur the "so your the guy with the diesel rotary" comments from the mechanics as i buried my head into a magazine in Pips office.. :rollin

I always thought the diesel pump nozzles were larger so they didn\'t fit and so stopped this sort of thing

Done that in my RX-2 once.

Just took the drain plug out the tank, refilled with proper.

As you know cars over ten years old only need to pass MOT, so will have full size filler neck. Reducing the size of the filler neck is part of the SVA requirements.

Perhaps fitting a filler neck reducer might be a good idea after all. I am sure we all think I would never do that!!!

My old (Ash\'s new) FC had a reduced filler neck, but maybe this is because it\'s a UK car?
Title: watch out for esso stations
Post by: wookie on December 10, 2004, 08:16:19 PM
Apparently Jay did this at an esso station, and i have been told all esso garages have changed their pump handles to blue FOR ALL fuels, so it\'s an understandable mistake.
