Looks good mate. As for the sticky ariel thing, try giving it a good oil with either 3 in 1 or a spray grease. It will need a couple of applications of it, but should free it up.

Cheers chap. I\'ll try that with the aerial but currently haven\'t got the MP3 working as the previous owner lost the security code so I\'ve got to try Sony later today to see if I can get the code from them.

Hi Mate,

Yeah I\'ll be coming down about 1ish.
I know what you mean re the number plate I\'ll have a look at that this weekend.

Had a couple of  moments when the back end has got out of shape accelerating in 2nd and 3rd. Been taking roundabouts very carefully. Not tried speed bumps yet but I can only just get out my drive.

Really want to get some professional tuition and learn to drive properley. Do you know of any local courses / trackdays ?

BTW does anyone know which front skirt and spolier I\'ve got ?

Rich

Looks good m8, hope to meet you and your car at a local event soon:D

Donington is the nearest track to us and the winter track series is very cheap at £95 for a full day.

Cheers for the comments guys.
Blitzboy - Its got Bridgestone Potenza G11\'s but they are coming to the end of their life so gonna get some new shoes soon.

Wav - That price sounds reasonable. Does it include any tuition or just an open pit and track time. I\'ll take a look at the website.

ds2000 - Thats the chap, seemed a nice guy. Scared the s*** out of me taking me for a spin. He had the engine fully ported and rebuilt by Pip in Jan this year and only covered 3k since.
I think he\'s looking at getting a scooby as the patter of tiny feet were on the way.

Gurj - Not sure what time I\'m finishing work yet. What time do you plan on going up ?

Yep, your car is the reason I decided an RX-7 was the way to go.

The thing that scared me about Geraint was that he\'d got all these receipts for the engine and I had to tell him it had been rebuilt, he really didn\'t know what the £3k had been spent on

Certainly wasn\'t an \'in the know\' owner, but a nice guy as you say!

Is the boost gauge ok now?

Tis a very quick rex indeed!

Gurj - Cool should be able to make that so long as it isn\'t pishing down. I\'ll give you a call sun/mon and sort out a time and place to meet.

ds2000 - That is scary  . Wish I had customers that coughed up with their money that easy.

Boost gauge isn\'t working but there is power going to the guage. Also exhaust temp gauge stuck at 6 but again power going to it.
Not had a proper look yet but any ideas ??

Rich

Without putting a downer on the car, get the watertemp gauge replaced ASAP.

It started beeping at me whilst I was driving the car, yet the system seemed up to the correct level and the temperature was steady, so obviously a sensor or the gauge itself is buggered :(

No ideas about the other two guages other than checking they have good + and -, it shouldn\'t be too hard to see :)

Good luck with her, she\'s definately a pretty one!

Nice looking motor mate!!!!

Your front bumper is BORDER Type 2.

your rear light cover is RE Amemiya.

the side skirts are optional mazda ones.

and the spoiler is a standard RZ one.

Oh and please get rid of that great big fog light! :p

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice car mate!

See if you can find an airfield day rather than track - lots more runoff and no tyre walls etc to hit - gives you a lot more confidence to let loose if you\'ve not done it before.

Roundabouts there are two secrets...

One is get speed down on the approach, and then balance it on the throttle, do not change speed at all, do not brake or accelerate or even back off throttle on the actual roundabout, just steer until you\'re well into the exit road.

Two, definitely don\'t change gear unless you are rev match genius, because you\'re unlikely to need 3rd in the wet on a roundabout anyway. Both times I spun my Z it was going from 1st to 2nd on a greasy roundabout. 15mph, gentle as you like, but it still span. So now if the roundabout is empty I hurtle round the whole thing at the top of 2nd (or sometimes bottom of third if it\'s a massive motorway junction type job) and if it\'s busy I crawl round at the bottom of 2nd.

Speed ramps, erm... fit go-go-gadget coilovers? :)

Anyway, see you at the meet (or both meets!)

Scott - Cheers for the info. I know what you mean about the fog light mate. I will be loosing a reversing light very shortly.

Zevans - Thanks dude. Taking it steady until I build up confidence but nice to get some tips. Look forward to seeing you at the meets.

Hi Rich glad you got yourself sorted with what looks like a very tidy example!

Just wondered if it was your car that was in at Pip\'s on Saturday 4th Dec.  If it was they were running it when I came to collect my motor that had just been finished.  Noticed yours from the back lights.  Sounded sweet!

Matt
