Title: New ast fitted
Post by: Gerry M on November 30, 2004, 02:43:27 PM
Just fitted my new ast & wondered is there a specfic filling/ bleeding procedure for our cars?

got plenty time as the batterys on charge & i go back to work tmro for a fortnight so the air might migrate naturally

Alright mate, when i did mine, i just topped it up ran it until it had warmed up 80 degrees (keep an eye on the temps!) then let  it cool to about 40-50 degrees and topped it up, repeat process until it does not require to be topped up. When i did my AST it only required 1 top up as i hadn\'t lost that much...

Hope that helps...

Cheers

Pip told me that you just top out the rad filler cap, then fill  the AST, it\'ll spill what it doesn\'t want, then you should check the level in the AST everyday anyway!
