Title: Bumper?
Post by: Grizzly on November 29, 2004, 12:52:00 AM
Has no one noticed this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52640&item=4508074017&rd=1

To the eye it looks like a stock T2 bumper but it has the VERY rare factory lower spoiler on it.

Is it really that rare??  I\'ve got the same bumber (i know it\'s the same because I bought some bits off Chris - the seller- and had a look), and i\'ve seen another t2 around with it on as well...

Yes, It was an Aftermarket extra they make the ft quite low (with the overhang) and they tend to get distroyed when the ft dampers start to go soft.

As for seeing them on cars alot you must be lucky becouse i have seen about 7-8 T2\'s round my way and not seen another?

Put it this way there was less made than the total T2\'s sold and they don\'t make them any more. There are alot of T2\'s out there without them fitted nearly all Verts where supply\'d without.

The main thing i like about them there Plastic not GRP so they will take a few wacks before they Crack.

Nicley spotted Chris :)  I\'ve been after one of those for ages. I\'ve pretty much broke the bank getting insured again and buying petrol for the last week but it is very tempting, if only it wasn\'t c.o.d or that far away.....

Cheers g11ary. I cant imagine it being that heavy but its just over 1.5m in length, as far as i\'m aware 1.5m is normally the biggest that can be delivered without the cost getting to high. Petrol will be alot but i\'m bidding on a few other large items on ebay at the moment so the plan is to get them all on the same day.

Has it got an n380 ecu ? If so how much :) Planning on going down this friday, its gonna be a busy day. Got to pick the bumper up from windsor, i should have an air compressor to pick up in hemel hemstead and then a tool chest in sheffield. To top it all off my mates just bought a grey t2 which is in essex so i\'ll be taking him down to get that aswell.

if you are intested - let me know and i will ask sean to have a dig round for you ( OK walk to the car and read the front of the ECU !! )

Cheers for the offer but i\'l leave it for now. The reason i was interested in it was to see if it gets rid of a very ocassional hesitation at high revs. I\'ll be rebuilding the engine soon and i\'m thinking about going with a microtec or haltech, i\'ll give you a shout if i decide to stick with the stock ecu.
