Yesterday was indeed a sad day as I had to sell my FTO.
As some of you know I have been searching for an FD3 for a while and was looking to px but with the FTO gone it opened up further avenues.
Anyway got up early and made the long (public transport) journey to see an FD3 in west, west Wales. I was determined to purchase from the head and not the heart but in reality I guess it was a bit of both.
Car is red, standard body apart from front nose and rear spolier. I\'ll post some pics tomorrow so hopefully you guys can help to identify which kit it is.
Best of all car has had a full re-build + port and polish by Pip in Jan this year.
The 3.5 hour journey was such good fun. 3rd gear off a roundabout in the wet and got a little out of shape so I will certainly be giving this lady plenty of respect.
I\'d just like to say thanks to all you guys that have offered me advice over the last few months and been kind enough to take me for a gentle spin :eek:
I will certainly be getting my membership to the club sorted out this week and look forward to meeting more of you at forth-coming meets.

Well done mate, hope you have plenty of fun with it, as you know I am supposed to be selling mine (the white FD), but after taking it out today I really don\'t know if I can do it.
As I said before, enjoy it, as I don\'t think there are many cars out there that can make you smile like an idiot as much as one of these:cool

Rich great news got a show the baby off to me soon it\'s the law 
there a gathering in Burton tomorrow night (OK i confess it\'s kinda a cruise chav thing but i\'ll be there) if you wana join me? to show off or otherwise.
Defo exercise extreme caution bud to do the preachy annoying sanctamonious thing check what rubbers on it & make sure you get decent rubber if it aint already & i strongly advise a good play round an air strip track or such like to learn limits in safety!!!! This is yer only/every day car right not guna be easy in the shyte weather & it\'s does sound ****ty & easily said but speaking from experiance dont skimp on paying a few quid to learn about wot is & ISNT cunning in the FD.

Too many derby folk on here for my likings :D Glad you found your perfect motor mate.... One of these days when i get mine on the road i will make the effort to come and meet the local owners...just feet a bit of a tw*t turning up in a fiesta :(

it\'s red as well :D gets me from a to b until i get my company car early next year..... plus i\'m now working in derby so to run the rx there everyday would kill me..... it\'s bad enough having to work in Derby nevermind breaking the bank to get there :)

I use the gym at RR and frequently go past the site you speak of, and live about 5 mins away from there!!!!
If you are busy building then obviously you won\'t see me go past, car will be there next week approx 5pm most days at the gym car park!!!!:)

As Si said, be careful as these cars can bite suddenly and many others have proved this at a fair cost to themselves.
anyways, with that said, that lady of yours will have you grinning for a long, long time, I\'m sure. Look forward to the pics.
