Title: Which clutch?
Post by: Welsh Dan on November 27, 2004, 04:29:52 PM
My clutch is on its way out, as it slips every now and then. Its ok if you put your foot down slowly, but if you put it to the floor, it slips. However, once you get past 4k rpm, you can put your foot to the floor with no problems.

Either way, I know absolutely nothing about clutches. Given that the clutch needs replacing, what sort of clutch is best for me? At the moment, i\'m running a Power FC, decat and full system and air filter. Am I ok with a standard clutch, or is it worth me getting an uprated clutch? If so, what sort of prices am I looking at for an uprated clutch?

Thanks :)

If you intend on staying with these mods for some time, I would say that a stock clutch will be ok, but if you do much more it might not cope.

As for price, it depends where you go. Some of the club vendors can supply these.
