Title: Compression Issue?
Post by: Nath on November 26, 2004, 01:42:18 PM
Hi All

After driving the car for about 20mins it finds it hard to tick over drops down to about 0.200 but if i continue driving it after about 30mins its fine and ticks over at the normal 0.9/0.8K revs.

Is this a sign of bad things to come.

not sure what the issue is here.

could be something to do with the oil coolers coming into use when the engine has warmed up sufficiently... how is the oil level?...been changed recently

anyone else any ideas?...

I am assuming that after 30 mins it is all fine and eats tarmac as it should...

Yes oil is topped up , coolant is topped up , theres physicly no loss in performance just tick over is scatty ,

the car has a Power FC and its running base map could this be a problem?

Has the car been mapped properly???

As it may be running lean, otherwise i\'d say get a service and plugs changed and usual oil change???

How many miles on current engine dude??
