Title: Pro drive going racing with Mazda
Post by: clive on May 30, 2003, 08:45:36 AM
Hi All,

l know this is elsewhere on the forum ,but this is the official press release issued to the club ,

My personal opinion is that this looks like two things Prodrive will be preparing the Formula Woman fleet and also it leaves the door nicely open for some real involvement in Motor sport , from memory the Gen 1 RX-7 was kicked out of the British Touring Car Championships for only having 2 doors so maybe the RX-8 is allowed  ???????

All the best Clive

Good luck on the camera bit, they are VERY touchy about where you can take pictures.

Was on my way to one of the first Prodrive Live days a year and a half ago, when my boinger went bang. Three holes in a piston! Think thats why I have gone rotary for a performance car. ;)

Have been tolf the circuit they have setup is VERY good, and offers a good challenge for your average driver.

Dan

PS. Clive it\'s Prodrive, not Pro Drive.

I went to Ford Msport last year and they were very relaxed about camera\'s ... the only area I couldn\'t take photo\'s was the chassis jig room where they were working overtime (4-5 people at 8pm) on the 2003 focus shell :cool
