Title: Air by-pass valve
Post by: nikp on November 17, 2004, 01:13:31 PM
On the stock FD\'s, do they normally make a \'whoosh\' noise in normal operation? Are they meant to vent to atmosphere? As mine do - I presume this is normal, but thought i\'d question it anyhoo.

Cheers for the replies in advance!

They vent back into the air box (recirculating) IIRC

If you have after market filters (not apexi or blitz) then the pipe work from them to the air box will have been junked .If you still have the standard air box fitted then the two holes should have been plugged, even if its just the pipe bent over and clamped "U" style on the holes
