I recently bought an apexi GT Front Mount Intercooler kit question is has any one ever fitted one??
I have installed in my car at the moment but it doesnt look right it sits too far back and sits high ?
but all the brackets line up fine cant understand
also my fans hit one of these cooler lines. i have a KOYO rad ?
i was going to cut this line and replace it with a high pressure hose (rated to 15bar) not sure as i dont want to really be cutting anything unless i have to...

common guys any input would help, i really dont want to cut this i am not sure if it will be okay replacing it with this hose i dont want it to burst i mean itrs rated to 15 bar and 1200c of temp?

Exactly which hose do you wish to cut mate?
I belive its called the oil return Pipe ?
i have attached a picture, the red circled bit hits the fans slightly at the mo and i was going to put a hose in place marked in the blue colour.

Hi mate,
As far as i remember those lines are fixed to the chassis either side by clips that go round the pipe, rather than cut the pipe, unbolt the holders and fit the rad into place, if the rad pushes the pipes down enough to be ok then just put a spacer inbetween the chassis and the clips to keep them down enough, leave a little extra space so the rad isnt in contact with the pipes so vibrations wont cut into it and bobs yer uncle (or your aunty if its the weekend ;) )
Those pipes have hydraulic style clips on the ends to take the pressure, circlips might not do the trick...? Dont want a sudden loss of oil pressure!

i was gonna have the new hose covering a least 2 inches on the oil return pipe and fasten it with 2 Jubilee clips on each end so it stays in place.
what do you think ?

thats cool thanks for the input tho i may try the US forum but then again most of them dont have dual oil coolers so they may not have this pipe
