Title: Oil residue around dump valve
Post by: Holmsey24 on November 15, 2004, 09:51:06 AM
Hi all,

I have noticed at the weekend that there appears to be oil residue sprayed around the dump valve.  It is sprayed onto the engine bay/ inner wings in the direction from the vents on my Blitz dump valve.  I know that oil is consumed by the engine in it\'s normal use, but was surprised that there would be oil coming from the dump valve.
Does this sound normal or is it more sinister??

Matt

One way to help combat this is to fit an oil catch can.
