Title: Gauges
Post by: Holmsey24 on November 10, 2004, 02:15:38 PM
Hi all,

Just had the car in at Pip\'s and he showed me a great little housing for two gauges i.e boost/water etc.  Kind of looks like the gauge housings in a GTO or FTO if any of you know what I mean!  Haven\'t had them fitted yet so will post some piccies up when they are in.  The housing for the two gauges fits very neatly in the dashboard once you remove the centre speaker of course.    Give him a ring if you want more info.

Matt

By the way, if any of you have already had a set fitted like I have described can you show me some pics???

;)

Cheers Grinder.

Yep Adam, they are the ones.  They look really good fitted don\'t they.  I think they look a lot "cleaner" than A pillar mounted gauges but my opinion only.

Thanks for posting the piccie up mate, at least I know what they are going to look like now.

Yeah they are good...  i had them in my last FD...(pic is of my old car) in my new one i have the apillar pods though.  Must admit I prefer them, but i guess everyone have their own tastes.

i think you can get those pods for about 90 quid....can\'t remember where from though.

Cheers

Got my triple pod from here flyrx7 (http://hometown.aol.com/flyrx7/)  good service but got stung for import duty about £20 as he wont send them marked as gifts or lower value for insurance purposes. Total cost around £100.

Mine\'s a dual gauge pod from a company called tripowerdesign in the States, got it through a mini-group buy organised by Wav a while back (note this is not a cue to bombard him with requests to organise another! ;))
Cost £80 if I remember rightly.

The only point to note is that their website (//www.tripowerdesign.com I think) states they are for 60mm gauges but they actually fit 52mm ones   - I only found this out once I\'d bought some and tried to fit them tho...

Cheers,
Alex
