Title: URGENT Speedo converter help
Post by: wiggy on November 07, 2004, 05:38:44 PM
Am I missing something here???

I have the speedo converter and fitted as per instructions and it no work :(

It has a live and an earth feed which I have taken from the back of the oil gauge, checked these and they work fine.

Cut the wire going to the speed signal sensor (yellow/red) and fitted the 2 other wires from the converter. Gauge doesn\'t work. Fit the wires back as they were and it works again but in kilometers :(

HELP!!!!!

Also, while in a fit or rage checking things I managed to short out the oil and water temp gauge, can someone tell me where the fuse is located please so I can replace it :D

Thanks as always

Did you connect the SP in and out wires on the converter the correct wy round?
If so and it stil don\'t work then return it to where it came from and ask for a new ones.

Is your convertor a universal one with DC and AC connections?
If so, has he given you instructions to connect the DC wires by mistake? (the FD speedo is ~AC)

I shall ask him (if he replies)

Cheers for the info

Anyone offer any help on how to get my gauges all working again :(  None of them are working as I discovered this morning on the way to work so had to rely on the FC commander

Cheers
