Title: hurley engineering rebuild gasket kit
Post by: mazda bait on November 05, 2004, 06:43:12 PM
Hi everyone,
looking for anyone who might have used the hurley engineering engine rebuild kits.  There isn\'t really any information on the site about the kits, so just looking for any advice.  I\'m not going to attempt the work myself i\'ll leave that to a friend.
Will this kit fix my water seal problem...???

Well to cover the background i hate Hurley & wouldn\'t recommend anything of theirs but to clarify what\'s your situation? You have symptoms of needing a rebuild & your looking for a kit to do this yourself?
Only thing i think Hurleys used to have that was unique was/is their rotor tips dunno wot they do with seals but as i say not a fan of theirs full stop.
Si (biased in every way......)

I would presume the hurley rebuild kit has water seals in it as you need them for any rebuild...

It will fix you\'re water problem - after you\'ve removed the engine, taken it all to bits, put it back together again with some new/replacement bits and refitted it to the car...

seals won\'t fix it if the reason one failed was like mine in the pic i sent on your other post, mine was caused by corrosion and needed a end plate, but while your in there it makes sense to rebuid it anyway, preferably done by someone with experience! then it is an investment for the future,
Bob
