Title: Apex-i AVC-R S-AFC and dump valve questions..
Post by: A. Waterfield on November 04, 2004, 11:31:13 PM
Hi there,
being a newbie i could do with some questions answered. Firstly can i use my AVCR boost controller and SAFC fuel controller on the rx.  my rx is stock at the minute but i only want to carry out very light mods ( de-cat, zorst and filter).  now i have read that it would need a re-map if i carried out some of these things, but could i get away with using the SAFC to sort out the fueling on the rollers?

Also i believe that the RX has 10psi Stock boost which drops to 8psi after 6k, can this be ironed out (via AVCR) to 10psi throughout the rev range???

The other thing is that i have a HKS SSQV from my old 200sx, can this be fitted direct or do i need a fitting kit? i sort of know where it goes on the rex but have no workshop manual to check it against.  also does anyone know if there is a CD manual for the RX??

Sorry for all the Questions
Regards
Alex

Plenty of CD manuals on Ebay for the Rex Alex, as for the fitting of the BOV you can generally wedge your old bov on the end of the existing pipe, there are plenty of threads about this within the forum.
Can\'t really help you with the other questions as I am at about the same stage myself, although I would say that engine-wise there isn\'t really such a thing as a \'light-mod\' as most engine mods need the ECU playing with on the RX.

Cheers.
