For some bizarre reason, my passenger side is always wet or damp in the morning or after it has been left anywhere cold.
Its mostly the passenger seat and the rear carpets, but i\'ve also got a problem with the rear passenger seats being damp underneath as well.
Normally i\'d have thought that one of the rubber seals was leaking, but it was put under a waterproof car cover last night, and its still soaked! The rear of the seat and bolsters are bone dry, and the middle bit is soaked. The carpet in the passenger side in the front is dry also. The roof - dry. The windows and door seals - dry. The air con pipe is in its little hole, so its not that. The boot is dry and the seal appears to be ok.
Any suggestions I don\'t have a girlfriend or mother of a nervous disposition either :confused: :rollin
Wait for some dry weather, thoroughly dry the car, remove all carpets and rear seat.
Apply talcum powder liberally inside the vehicle. Fill watering can....apply liberally........leave to settle for a few hours.....look for streaks in the talc.
You\'ve covered the common area\'s - doors, tailgate, air con - it\'s got to be one of em!

Could be water getting trapped somewhere during driving and then leaking out when the car is left standing. How much water is there? Is it a puddle, or just damp?
Check the drains around the rear hatch are clear and that its sealing correctly all the way around, water can find its way in around the top of the hatch if its not sealing well.
Its already stripped out, and I can see a few little puddles forming, but it appears to be moisture rather than where it\'s leaking through. It still doesn\'t explain the wet seat tho.
Is it parked on the level, or does it lean one way?
Right, i\'ve now found that its coming from underneath the car, as whenever i\'m driving along in the rain you can see small puddles of water forming behind the bar that runs from left to right. I had it into a bodyshop and on ramps, but they said that there were no holes underneath that they could see. Any other suggestions?
I have also noticed this problem? any updates anyone?
i had damp in mine it was comming out of the cover on the inside of the boot lid, think it was getting in under the spoiler, i left it running with the heater on full and put my mum n dads dehumidifier on in there, it was on for an hour and got just under 2 pints of water out, well shocked

Does the car still has aircon? If so, there is a small tube that hangs from the bottom of the aircon unit, and it\'s supposed to dangle out through a hole in the firewall just in front of the passenger footwell. if that tube has made it\'s way into the car, all the liquid being condensed will drain into the passenger footwell.
OR
for a laugh someone has your keys and a readily available supply of water...
but where on this earth would they find a readily availiable supply of water lol :o

lol, i tell you what happened to a car i had a few years back cant remember what it was bu the pipe for the rear squirter had come apart in the roof lining at the back and when i tried to was my rear window it just poured on the seats

Sadly I\'m out and about on Saturday night otherwise it could be a worth while little run :D
Still, will have to start getting the car out for some of these... Unless I blow it up on the track ;)
