Title: Urgent advice needed!
Post by: fly on October 29, 2004, 01:42:46 PM
When i was moving off in my car this morning my car juddered abit as if the brakes were stuck to the discs, and after that the brakes have lacked bite unless i give them a good warm up, also when i depress the brake pedal fully theres sometimes a grinding noise and jerkiness from the front right or left wheel, is this the abs or is there something seriously wrong!

I know very litte about brakes and they scare the shit out of me, can some1 please tell me wether whats happening is normal?:(

(i have a 93 FD3S, it has standard mazda brake setup and had brand new pads and discs 6 months ago)

if you have left your car for a couple of days then the brakes can stick to the pads, hence the bang as you first move off, you also may have to bed them slightly, a couple of miles if they have been really stuck, but should not be getting juddering. Get them checked out at nearest garage would be best advise, its alright everyone guess on here, but if they fail none of us can help you. Take it easy and get them checked

how old are the pads the grinding could also be a symptom of NO PADS left.............(http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/contrib/blackeye/Eyecrazy.gif)
