Hey all,
Just taken the amazing KA out properly for the first time and there are a few things that concern me.
Firstly is how high should my water and oil temps be going? I understand rotaries are completely different to the CVH and run bloody hot anyway, but as i believe the wise ones on here your my first stop for advice :)
Secondly, due to lack of space some clever arse has put the induction cone bang in the middle of the engine bay, not the best place for cool air. Are there any bad points to placing the cone nearer the bottom of the bumper?

maybe an easier question to start with is how hot do standard rex\'s run?
My oil temp gauge reads about 80 degrees C, it rises to 90-ish when in traffic. Dunno about water temp as just got the standard gauge.

Water temps should be as low as possible:D General rule of thumb motorway driving [off boost] 85, round town 90 [should see no higher than 95] WOT 95:eek If you are seeing more than these I would look at your rad / coolant system.
