I\'d be interested if a GB is going ahead... these seem very cheap in the states - $115 (plus shipping, tax etc of course)

Am I right in saying, these kits underdrive the alternator and water pump slightly... or is that just my imagination?

Unorthadox, dont they do like a \'Idler\' pulley in place of the
air pump? what sort of probs are they giving you?
I need to loose the air pump to, so could be intersted in a \'group- buy\' if it really is gonner make much difference.

I am in the middle of trying to loose the air pump. I have tried to get a belt the right size. but this seems impossible. I am going to machine some pulleys to suit the belt size which by default will now end up being an underdrive set I.E. oversize alternator and waterpump pulleys. There seems to be alot of you that want to do the same thing, so if I could get an idea of numbers I could get a price including belt.

I don\'t know if your talking about the same thing ...... but I\'ve taken my airpump off and fitted a twin pulley on the alternator to compensate for the waterpumps loss of beltage!

I got mine from Pip at WGT. £40

The belts are 1965 Mini fan belts! Nice high performance jobbies:rollin

Problem is basically takin the dosh and not delivering the goods. Blaming machine break downs and trying to catch up with back orders. Have been payed for for about 3-4 months now!

http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/mazda_rx7.html

Is where you can find the stuff. Havent bought kit through UO direct though. Went through a supplier cause they could supply at a much cheaper cost. However I havent been supplied with anything to date.

Scuttle.
In your quest for the pulleys did you find anywhere that will sell just a alternator pulley and belt.

If i can get one i know some good machinists ( not sewing machine) who could easy turn these down.
