Title: New Border roll cage fitted
Post by: Dan Norton on October 18, 2004, 06:04:50 PM
Got my fd back earlier,...my mechanic fitted my Border half roll cage today for me as i wasnt confident about drilling thro the floor of my car.......he gave the underside a big thick coat of sealant/waxoil for me aswell.

Looks fantastic and you can feel the the rear end has stiffened up....like a big strut bar.....with the border cage you can retain the standard rear strut bar aswell with its own little slot for it to go into.

Cheers all,

Dan!!

I hope he welded some nice big plates in the floor to bolt it through, looks like it fits fairly well. Is it a full cage or just a rear hoop ? if its a full cage best get some padding on it too.

Yea he did mike..... its only half cage, didnt want a full one as it looked awkward going down the a-pillar and in the way of your right leg and indicator stalks.

Depends if you are doing it as a proper cage, or you just want something that has a cage look really.
