NEW MEMBERSHIP AND MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Instant New Membership and Membership Renewal through the MRC forum

Membership subscriptions are created and renewed via the forum after you have created a forum account. Although free membership gives you access to a wealth of information, when you become a Full Member you get access to all the knowledge accumulated over 12 years of MRC.

How it works

As we are making use of the forum subscription features to set up new Club members and handle renewals, membership can be applied for at any time during the year, giving you instant access to the Club membership area for 12 months. All you have to do is click on Profile --> Actions --> Paid Subscriptions and choose the level of membership you wish to apply for.

Your forum profile will show you what type of subscription you have, when you took it out, and how long you have remaining. When it comes to renewal time you will automatically get a reminder email from the forum, and should your membership lapse then your access to the members areas will be withdrawn automatically.

What if I renew early?

We will ensure that you have a full year subscription, continuing seamlessly from the end date of your current one.

What if I renew late?

Late renewal of Club membership will be reasonably accepted at the Club's discretion. Until you renew, however, you will not have access to the forum facilities for Club members as they will have been withdrawn automatically.

Payments

Payments are taken securely through PayPal for peace of mind. However, if this is not possible and you wish to pay by cheque or BACS you will be added to the database of Club members as soon as the cheque/BACS has cleared into the Club's account (all we need is your forum ID).

New members will receive an introductory welcome pack through the post, using the contact address details that are supplied when you make your payment through PayPal. This will also contain your membership card and membership number.

An additional database of Club members will be maintained outside the forum - this will include contact details - so that membership can be managed independently of the forum should the need arise.

What are the benefits?

There are numerous benefits for new and existing members, as well as the dedicated and hard working team managing the back-office:

  • Forum access is instant
  • Renewal reminders
  • PayPal payments are now linked directly to your forum account (no more guessing!)
  • True one year rolling Club membership

What kinds of subscriptions are available?

There are 2 kinds of Club membership are available:

  • MRC Club Member (1 year): £30 new, £25 renewal (UK and Overseas membership)
  • Family Group Member (1 year): £35 new, £30 renewal (for UK based families *)

If you take out a family membership then please contact us if you want a second forum account to have full Club member access (we couldn't work out how to automate this bit!). The subscription for the second account will run for the same period of time as the main account, and you only need to renew the family membership on one account.

As we now also have the facility of paying monthly for your membership you will be able to upgrade to a one year renewal at any time or stop your full membership whenever you no longer need it.

* This type of membership applies to those who want to attend Club events as a family.

How do I manage my subscription?

You can keep an eye on your subscription through your user profile. Please make sure that you keep your profile e-mail address up to date, that way the forum can notify you when your subscription is about to expire.

If you have any other problems or issues then contact us for assistance.

I'm a trader - how does this work for me?

As we help you set up a forum trading area and establish a presence with the MRC community, we would ask that you approach us directly with regards to membership and renewals. Please contact us for more information.
