so i mounted the 3 pedals   plenty of room even for my size 13's

hello  boys
             i had a bit of an enforced break  the workshop floor was needed for a real job and i was evicted while it was going on lol
still ive got my space back now  and pressing on, im setting up ride heights and need a couple of measurements off a standard RX8 sitting on level ground,  first one is the gap under the front subframe to the ground at the front edge by the steering rack ,  and the second is at the rear to some fixed point on the subframe so i can mimic it  ,  or  the diff input flange to the ground although thats a long way under to reach i guess

anyone ?

Difficult for me to measure my 8 as my drive is gravel. But I still have my 3D cad models of all my subframe suspension pick up points from ground level if that helps ?

Morning Andy, now ive ventured into the shed and the hamsters re spinning in the pc I can get some dimensions from CAD.

Just as well as its snowing here in Worcestershire, so dont fancy rolling on the floor.

Below is an overview of my chassis accepting RX8 suspension.

A similar concept to yours but for a different purpose.

Mine has been calculated from the floor using stock RX8 wheels, and has been set up so the centre of the diff shaft holes on the back allow the drive shafts to be completely horizontal at ride height.

Also the steering rods on the rack are set so they dont have any bump steer.

I dont know how critical to want to be but my CAD is set with stupid decimals tolerances.

So for clarity, Front subframe, bottom arm pivot point on the front mount, hole centre is 172.5mm

Rear subframe, rear bottom arm pivot point, hole centre is 172.25mm

snowing like the clappers here in south birmingham too    not sure i will be able to get to workshop today if this continues, its at times like this i start to think i should be working on one of my 4wd projects lol

i can see the Licky hills out of my windows  its where the Victorians flocked to on trams for their holidays lol
my workshop is in Alvechurch  definitely in Worcestershire

These days the beautiful people of lozells and the Black Country flock to stourport in the summer. Clogging up roads, fighting with the local gypos and then leave their chip wrappers behind.
The high street is a wash with kappa tracksuit bottoms, Burberry caps, and sovereign rings.

Nice place licky hills.

  its nice up the top of the Lickeys you can see clear across birmingham to barr beacon  way north,  i believe  cadburys gave the lickeys to the people of birmingham  although its not in birmingham its in worcestershire  strange old world, anyway time to tunnel my way out to my car and see if i
can get to the workshop
