Not effected really as it not poking out that much.

Iv still got to mount the seat which I think needs to be solid mounted for drag rules

Which I can't do until the cage is in really
Oh removed the steering lock barrel today to and the indicator stalk and the air bag. Which has revealed a nice little bracket I can use to mount my 7c digi dash from

Contemplating getting rid of this bulge as it really hinders where I can mount the pedal box, pushing it over to the right hand side

Idea number 2, squash small pipes together, into bigger pipe which is squashed.

Should hopefully be about 1/3 the length of what it is now as needs cutting down.

Tricky business this custom stuff.

Next manifold I need for a bigger turbo I'm taking my car somewhere and leaving it with them and hand over cash for it.

Just ordered some 38mm 90 bends, spoke to a lad and he thinks that might work easier than what I'm trying to do.

Just got 4 of them off ebay from a lad in Huddersfield. One for me, one for James and 2 for one of the guys that does the commentating at santa pod.

So Iv been trying to find exactly how an rx8 diff fits in an mx5, along with the drive shafts etc. However everything I can find there's no full description but I have found this picture

An rx8 diff mounted in an mx5 using what looks like the rx8 axles/driveshafts/wheels pinnerthingys

So the easy bit is mounting the diff, all you need is an rx8 diff and an rx8 diff mounting bracket and it bolts straight into the mx5 subframe. Easy peasy.

Now from other info I have found is that the rx8 hub assembley bolts straight into the mx5, the rx8 units are much beefier, beefier bearing etc

Axles... Now Im sure the rx8s are longer and aparently there are different types, bumpy ones and smooth ones that is literally how people describe them on forums. The smooth ones come from auto rx8s..... Good luck find them in the UK, and whoever owns or ordered an automatic rx8, shame on you.

Yeh iv read that thread many times, I'm picking up some hubs axles and a diff tomorrow from Mr Spiller so I will be able to figure out with those bits as that thread and others iv found online don't share all the details.

The one I found from an ozzy build he explains well how to I stall the diff but when it comes to the drive shafts he just puts a picture up and says its all in.

However the drive shaft are different lengths from an mx5 to an rx8 but I think I might be able to swap the ends over as the spline count is different  between the 2 cars

Would anyone be shocked if I told you that rx8 drive shafts and mx5 drive shafts are the exact same lengths...
