Morning / afternoon Jon. Whatever time you get up from your night shift.

That last vid you posted you got a few good empty laps before mr white bmw ruined things.

Going well even considering you had “ballast” and a dodgy moment near the grass on 1st chicane. I honestly thought it was a grass cutting moment.... well held.

Noticeable that warped disc on the camera after a few laps lolll

Got your first flying lap at 1.24.....
I know it’s 10 secs off your best but given the weight difference......

...... I’d be happy with 1.24 when I see my first track day.

In hindsight I'd be happy to complete a lap on my first run. Lol

Cheers mate yep few cheap tweeks i reckon i can cut 2 seconds off easy...new std wishbones on front which come with x3 new bushes as theyre worn on current set up...sort juddering on brakes with new discs pads all round so can brake later better feel.
Coilovers are on max hard now so looking at some stiffer Std JDM 1s.
That white bmw was well piing me off all day and well the Elan driver was too but not so much.
I did have a great day mind...with only 1 track   day and 1 session under my belt all year i was gagging to get on track...the civic gives me breathing space to sell the Westy and finally decide what im gonna do with 7...i just dont think i can drive with the same "gusto" i used too. Its very precious to me now.

Nice little 2015 compilation find there  :13:

I think the crash at Goodwood was a 767b - no idea who was driving though.

@Jon, looks like you were really pushing that Civic at Combe, and the car seems to drive really well  :icon_thumleft:

1m24s for a car you've just bought cheap and taken almost straight to the track is pretty impressive.

I got a 1.22 rounded up Casey...perfect clear lap...
Steering gets mushy after 4 laps..more input required...im impressed with it..tbh.
Its got a load of branded geo parts fitted that were not on ebay listing...
I spent a day prepping it...brakes etc.
Few tweaks i reckon a 1.19 possible..
I couldnt find a track 8 for  £1500..

My friends in rallycross finally got their cars flying in our final event. Blue Smurff Datsun Finn and white(ish) Toyota Starlet. Unfortunately Starlet didnt rev above 8500 heat, just farted at high revs.

Anyhoo, 2nd and 4th place for rotabros

Great vids bud.

Is the blue one running really soft suspension?

Coming round the last bend, the back end really squats on acceleration and the front end looks like the old gasser style drag cars....

Looks great fun.

Yep, it has quite soft suspension. Weather was difficult, no grip, so they have to do everything they could to get those tyres grip
