The RX-8 Owners Club are again extending the invitation to join them at this event. I've been many times now, and apart from last year (monsoon washout!), it's been a really enjoyable day out, with plenty to do and see. It's a great event for families too, with so much to see and do, apart from seeing all the gorgeous cars. Here's a link to the Beaulieu website, for anyone that's not been before:

https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/attractions/

And here's more details about the "Simply Japanese" event there:

https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-japanese/

Tickets are now available from the RX-8 OC online Shop, price £10 per adult and £5 per child. A bargain compared to the normal entry fee for Beaulieu (£19.50 adult advance payment ticket)! Shop link:

https://shop.rx8oc.co.uk/Simply_Japanese_-_Beaulieu/p664353_9922868.aspx

When you buy a ticket, please state your forum name and add "MRC" so the RX-8 OC can keep track. I hope to see some of you there, hopefully with suntan cream, rather than rain gear!!

The RX-8 OC will again lay on drinks and snacks. Supplies available throughout the day for a £5 pp donation to the Club (unless you are already an RX-8 OC Member). Bring a mug/cup if you can.

Who's Paid to go   :)
1. casey (RX-7 FB)
2. clive + Lisa (RX-4)
3. Jamie R + Emma (Subaru  ;D)
4. Markp +1 (RX-7 FB)
5. John + Maria (RX-7 FB or RX-8)
6. boosted (RX-7 FD)
7. Sarah (MX-5 Eunos)
8. Barry +1 (Eunos Cosmo)

If you have paid for a ticket, just post up below and I'll keep the list up to date  :great:

MEETING UP AND CONVOY ARRANGEMENTS

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR TICKET AND STAND PASS!  :D

Note tickets can be purchased on the day (for extra passengers, etc), price £12 adult, £6 child.

The organisers at Beaulieu have stated:

"Clubs are requested to arrive at the same time in order to allow our stewards to park your members faster. Please note that club areas will only be reserved until 10am, after this time the area will be released to other participants. Individual club members arriving after 10am are not guaranteed to be able to join their booked club area."

Entrance gates open at 8.30am.

Therefore, please meet at a Tescos Dibden Superstore just off the A326 (Just after Applemore Hill) from 7.45am ready to leave 8.15am sharp and convoy in together to get to the car park holding area at Beaulieu by 08:30 =D>

Address :
Tesco
Sizer Way
Dibden
Southampton
Hampshire
SO45 5JA

If you are running late, or cannot make the rendezvous point, then go directly to the event entrance gate.

The entrance gate at Beaulieu for this event is NOT the public entrance, but this gate (opposite "Norris & Sons"):

Afternoon Casey... just in the process of buying 2 tickets directly from Beaulieu for Simply Japanese 28th July.. (same price and easier to do than with RX8OC) If it’s ok , we will be turning up in Rx8 road going track car and one or other Rx7 (whichever’s available at the time) Hopefully that’s cool with yourself and RX8OC and can park up with yourselves again... Happy Days... Cheers Linas

Major Bump for this event, as time is running out to order a stand pass ticket at the ridiculously low price of £10 (very cheap entry for this premier venue!).

THE DEADLINE is Sunday 30 June to order a ticket, details in the first post. We will be sharing with the RX-8 OC who have very kindly opened up their stand booking to other Japanese cars. Rotaries will be given pride of place and, to date, I believe the attendance is looking like this:

Clive: RX-4
Ian Mothersole: RX-7 Gen 1 Series 2 FB
Casey: RX-7 Gen 1 Series 3 FB
KiwiDave: RX-7 Gen 1 Series 3 FB
kenwhiteside: RX-7 Gen 1 Elford Turbo FB
Hobbawobba: RX-7 Gen 1 with 13B Turbo conversion
DKWW2000: RX-7 Gen 2 FC TII Vert (if Dry!)
LINAS: RX-7 FD
JamieR: (cough) Subaru (cough)  ;) :)

Plus about 10-20 RX-8's

Hopefully the weather will be fine and it's a great venue, not just for cars, but very historic too, with lovely house, gardens and lots going on (excellent falconry display sometimes!).

The RX-8 OC will be providing light refreshments throughout the day and simply ask a one-off contribution of £5 pp (on the day) to partake. Much cheaper than the food outlets, and there'll be home made cakes too  :P

A great family day out and a chance to give your rotary a good run out.

I hope some more people can join the party  :)
