Indeed. I’m getting the exhaust pipes in the engine bay ceramic coated but every bit of cooling helps.
Hopefully the high pressure in the engine bay will help push cool air down the transmission tunnel and keep the gearbox cool.
More vents going in on the aluminium floor too to help with the gearbox.
Already one in the diffuser for the differential.
Trying to think of as many things now before I finish it and have to start choppin n changing after.
Slow n steady will win this race

False floor / pedal box complete.

Nice n rigid and lightweight.

70mm fore and aft adjustment for shorties and 25mm side to side adjustment.

Got the pedal relationship set up like the 8

Feels comfy too

I like the idea of the sotted floor so you can adjust the assembly fore and aft  :great:
All the best Clive

Thanks Clive  :icon_thumleft:

I originally started planning little screw jacks on all thread with a tiny electric motor from a drill.

But it would need guides to slide down. All sounds too complicated. So 3 cup square bolts so they dont turn in slots is quick and lightweight.

I stole the idea of a moving pedal box from a pic I saw of a chassis from a new Morgan 3 wheeler. But they had pre determined positions, not slots. Looked like the bolts come through the underside of the floor too.....not ideal.

I really hate chequer plate, but I have loads of it lying around, and it really works by gripping the pedal box when I tighten the bolts and stop it sliding backwards when pressing the brake hard. I dare say you don't want the pedal box moving when going down the road.

Again space is expensive real estate here. The dog leg bends to the right of the accelerator allow the pedal box to fit past the roll cage and give me space for my hooves.

I'll take some more pics when it's in situ.

Heres a few shots

Closest to driver and over 25mm to the left to miss the roll cage.

Furthest back and over to the right so the steering column goes above but between the clutch and brake so theres no risk of contact when you press the pedals.

Need to make a new flitch in the engine bay to cover it all up now ive got clearances, and also miss the headers......
