Again.....................these wing patterns!

Finished shaping the beading, last few coats of primer going on, flat it all down tonight and I could be making moulds tomorrow......about time!!!

Ive put the pimer on with a roller this time opposed to a brush as it took ages to sand the brush marks out. Spraying this stuff on is not an option at this stage.

The roller left a nice orange peel look. When I paint it manderin orange, shall I roller it on for that true authentic orange look ? lol

Finally, 8 weeks have passed and Ive finished the patterns. From screwing wooden wheels to the alloys, timber alignment tools, PU expanding foam, filler filler filler filler filler, primer to sanding the last bit last night.

that's 2 weeks each corner, pfffft

Ill be waxing next tonight and making the moulds, plenty of pics soon.

Ok Gents!

Id like people to put their two pence worth on a matter as I cant decide.

Im killing time after putting the first coat of gel coat on for the moulds and thought Id offer up some LED lights I bought a while back.

I sold the original lights well quite frankly the lenses were cracked, chrome pitted, and I didnt like the design of them, theyre off a Federal Jaguar I think, sold to the American market originaly.......... well I got £130 quid for 2 battered lights I hated. (First rear light pic)

Anyhow, universal LED combination lights tend to be a bit commercial for lorry trailers, tractors and kit cars etc.

So I cant decide on whether my original rectangluar ones modelled by chewbacca arms, round ones, or the lozenge shaped thingys.

The rear valance needs to be modified anyway to accept new lights, so its not a case of what will fit best, more of what looks more appropriate.

The round ones are deep housings, so they will be recessed into the panel.

Let me know what you think, but please dont say, put the originals back on! lol

I reckon two round ones per side would look nice

Oooooo ive not thought of 2 per side.......

Now THATS got the cogs turning

I was thinking 2 headlights per side like the 787b in the top right hand corner of this forum, so that could tie in nicely.

Jon, see any issues for a current, power, brightness, wire thickness, perspective running them 2 per side????
