I've probably been through all of the wiring issues you will encounter so feel free to ask!

I'm about as good at wiring as I am at platting turds.

I can do the physical side of it like making looms, push fit block connectors etc.

I just can't get my head around the theory.

So I've not go that far but here's a quick run down

Abs sensors removed because I'm running bias pedal box,
No air con,
No airbags,
No alarm, no central locking
No stereo

Adaptronic ecu from Clive when I get it.
Stock accelerator fly by wire
Aftermarket fuel pump

Then there's all the other stuff from lotus that I need to graft into a rx8 loom

Lotus heater control,
Lotus wiper motor, which is used to 2 speeds and the rx8 stalk gas more functions along with squirters.
The fact it's a fibreglass body so no so easy to find an earth like screwing a wire terminal into the body

The list is endless .......

God bless me for what I build!

It took me a while. Never had touched wiring to that depth in my life. Never could solder cable and couldn't use a multi meter properly. It comes with practise.

Just a thought if you're struggling making the rx8 fuel pump fit... Mx5 mk3 is the same pump and same level sensor. The actual housing may be smaller. Also the rx8/mx5 fuel pump is the same as evo x and a number of other cars.

Ok more tank stuff.

Bit rusty on the old ali welding..........that's such a contradiction !! lollllll

Its staying now.

So its all welded up, just the outlet and the return line fittings to weld in.

No its not a fat aerial, lol, I welded in the filler pipe extra long so I can trim it to length, but capped it off and put a tyre shreader valve in the end so I can pressure test it :)

....... bet it leaks hahahaha

Oh pants.......Casey is gonna hate me !

??? ??? You really must learn how to post pics with a max pixel width of 1024  ;)

Sorted  :)

BTW, I'm certain the welds are much better than I could do. Never had the time to learn to weld  :(

Sorry casey, I took the pics on my phone and emailed them to myself not full size,

I did click properties to check but it didn't mention pixel width

Since you resized the last ones I used a program to resize them but I assumed it would be fine....... Hmmmmm

Bugger !!! :(

Evening Jon,

Just wondered if you were running the stock accelerator pedal with fly by wire in your westy?

I'm eyeing up bias pedal boxes with a view to removing the accelerator pedal as it cable operated.

Downside is they are floor mounted and the accelerator is top hung.........

Cheers

J

I run tilton pedal box. Clutch and brake.floor mounted with rx8 throttle pedal fly by wire.
Your gonna need to keep the fly by wire rx8 throttle pedal.
I dont have an issue with the 2. Careful positioning of the pedals and i fitted a heel plate..ill get a piccy later.
